I suggest you ...

Enable calendar entries to be created that are cut off from the app. Simplify and reduce the number of steps to create a calendar entry.

I've been doing something I hate every week - STATUS REPORTS!! I recently became aware of a service that uses your Google Calendar to generate a status report with a user defined date range and other options: http://www.gtimereport.com/

I was going to start using my calendar to track my tasks, as my meetings are already in the calendar, so I figured I'm a third of the way there. But, I also have task management. I found several Android task managers that create a calendar entry. But, one of them makes it so simple and clean that it beats out all the rest. It's ToDo Task Manager at www.mikesandroidworkshop.com It's also a pretty decent task list manager, but, it is not as robust at managing and categorizing tasks as Ultimate To Do List. Using ToDo, I can simply long press on a task, a popup appears, then I can pick send to Google Calendar. When you pick that, the task name is transferred to the calendar entry and you simply set the start and end time and hit save and the entry is created. I can do that again for another day or another time or multiple times per day without having to re enter the task information. These entries are no longer associated to the task, so if I change something in the task, I don't have to worry about losing my calendar entries. All users of Ultimate To Do List could take advantage of driving their weekly status reports off of their tasks. We're all managing tasks anyway, dutifully entering the information. Most of us either are or probably should be generating status reports. Just think how valuable this information would be at your job review with your boss, or for building your resume or meeting with your clients. I don't know of anyone who likes the task of creating status reports, so I say don't do it, let the calendar do it, by generating the calendar entries from your tasks.
