Show total time for tasks with sub-tasks
Tasks with sub-tasks should show the sum of their sub-tasks' expected and actual time spent. This would make the software usable for project planning and tracking. It is also what most users would expect, I guess. (see also the related request "Length - show total (sum) for a view or a folder")

Allow users to embed & launch the application necessary to complete the to-do from the to-do. Like camera or Twitter or SHealth.
When creating to-do, I would like to be able to launch other apps directly from to-do list similar to how I can go to a contact now directly from a to do now. Say the task is to check my heart rate. I could get an alert and instead of fumbling through my home screen and app drawer looking for the heart rate monitoring app, I could have associated the app with the to-do when I created the to-do and go to the app directly from the reminder with one click. Ability to hide empty catagories/folders/contexts in the Navigation draw
Add the ability to hide empty catagories in the navigation draw. For example if you have some empty n@, contexts, folders or views these could all be hidden so the catagories with tasks im would be immediately apparent.
A simple tick/check box could be provided at the end of the Navigations draw list to show/hide catagories.

Ability to set up default filter / sort order for folder
I use folders to organize my tasks to projects. When I show tasks in a folder, I want to see completed tasks as well. But folder filter hides them, so I have to set it manually for every new folder. It would be great to be able to set something like "default folder filter". And there could be similar option for sort order there.

Ability to bottom justify navigation pane
When operating your phone with one hand, the fact that the navigation pane is top justified means that you need to stretch your thumb quite a bit to reach some of the options. It would be helpful to have the option to bottom justify the contents so that the menus are easier to reach.

better use of screen space in edit view
I frequently change the setting for opening the editor vs viewer when tapping on a task, because neither is really ideal and I can't quite decide which is the least worst option! What I really want to be able to do is to go straight to editing mode, but to be able to see all or most of the fields on my screen at a glance without scrolling. At the moment the editor makes very poor use of screen space; on my large screen I could easily fit the whole task with plenty of space for tapping accurately on fields.

Filter by tags that 'Begins with...'
At the moment I must specify exactly every tag that I want to include in the filter. In Toodledo, I only have to indicate the initial characters, so I can have a large number of tags with the same prefix. Could I do this in Ultimate ToDo as well.
Eg. If I had tags: 'sfred', 'ssue', 'stony', I could set a filter for:
Tag <begins with> 's'Then I can add new tags to my tasks ('sjoe', 'samir' etc) without having to remember to update all of the filters I might have.

Un-tab the task/notes display - go back to inline or make it an option
I'm pretty sure I'm asking for a reversion to previous display format. The current scheme makes it impossible to view an entire task at once, at a glance. Even worse, I can't even tell if there even IS a Note attached to a given Task, when looking at the fields view, or if the Note is empty. Presumably you changed it so the Note field could have a full screen to edit, but the effect of the tabbing option is to always hide the Note, every time I open a task. I suggest you make "Display Note inline with Task…

Enable ability to create a custom sort order of folders
When I use dividers for grouping by folders, I can only choose to sort alphabetically. I would like to sort them the way I have them in Toodledo, or be able to create a custom sorting via preferences.

add an option to sort tasks by folders according to Toodledo order
In Toodledo folders can be ordered manually or alphabetically. The same order is shown in Ultimate To-Do List when looking at the Folder 'directory'. When sorting tasks by folder the current options are to sort A-Z or Z-A. Having the additional option to sort by folders according to Toodledo's order would allow to use the folder order as prioritisation when using folders for projects.

Add option to not force mark subtasks complete when Parent task is completed.
When marking a parent compete, all subtasks are forced complete. It makes sense in the parent/child scheme, which this feature is supposed to do, but I don't use it like that. I use it more like a reference point, so it should have independent marks that way. The way I have to do it now is display completed tasks and uncheck the subtasks.

bring back the yellow star
In v3 the star ist the same blue as all other accents, which make it less noticeable that before. Please make it yellow again.

Option "how long to keep completed tasks" for individual views/folders
Simple, easy, full control of completed tasks for each view/folder.
0 days = delete immediately (e.g. daily shopping list)
1 to several days = to be able to undo completion for defined days
never = do not delete at all (for list I reuse in future after completing all tasks, e.g. list of things to do and to pack before holidays)4 votes -
Enable expand/collapse of sort dividers
Love the new sort dividers for lists off items. Would be valuable to have the ability to expand and collapse the dividers, particularly for long lists. tapping on the divider would toggle between expanded and collapsed modes. Also, the controls to perform toggling for all dividers within the list (ie, expand all, collapse all).

Swipe to complete task
It would be very convenient to have possibility to complete a task by swiping it (left to right, for example). Optionally, swiping a task from right to left could delete it.

List of all My Views as startup screen
An option to set a list of all My Views as startup screen.
Like the list of My Views that it seems in version 3 you only can get when you enter Edit Mode for My Views.
In version 2 you could set this but now you can only choose one specific of My Views as Startup Screen.9 votes -

can be helpful to quickly find tasks, related to certain people, while preparing for or during meetings with those people

In "Startup Screen" setting add one more option: open recently used screen/view
This should open screen/view used at last time session.
