Add option to not force mark subtasks complete when Parent task is completed.
When marking a parent compete, all subtasks are forced complete. It makes sense in the parent/child scheme, which this feature is supposed to do, but I don't use it like that. I use it more like a reference point, so it should have independent marks that way. The way I have to do it now is display completed tasks and uncheck the subtasks.

Please make it possible to roll back to previous user interface. It was perfect and you downgraded it to the current, chaotic GUI.
The old user interface was absolutely perfect, in my opinion.
This new one represents for me such a downgrade that I'm considering alternatives to this App.
I'm developing SW myself, but I'm old-fashioned and my mantra is "if it ain't broken, don't fix it".4 votes -
Ability: Create Subtasks from a Widget
Widgets enhance workflow by being handy, intuitive and efficient. Switching focus to the main app turns productive "quick thought" task creation into distracting flow interruption. Subtasks are a great tool, but right now their creation (or designation) is tedious because the process is inconvenient. Pebble Integration
I would love an integration with pebble. This is how I would hope to use it.
1) Show list of actions based on a saved search / filter - Most Important
2) Add a task via voice
3) Mark actions as completed from list above

Colour "Due Today" dates Green
Currently Overdue dates are Red and all other dates (Due Today/Future) are Grey.
Could you change the colour of "Due Today" to Green so these dates stand out more in a list.
There have been requests for more complex colour schemes which would also work but they would be more complex to implement.
Hopefully this request would be relatively simple to implement but would make a big difference when viewing a list of tasks with differing dates.Thanks

Change the colour of the Note tab, if the Note is populated.
Although there is a little icon which shows if there is a Note attached to a task in the Task List view, the tab always looks the same in the Edit Task screen. The Note tab should be a different colour if the note is populated.
I actually preferred the layout a few years ago, before the tabbed view, when the Note was always inline and there was never any question of whether or not it was populated. Adding the tabs broke that functionality. Please restore it, by indicating somehow, if there is anything in the Note field. Thanks!4 votes -
Automatic last completed date on repeating tasks as i don't always manage to complete repeating tasks and change the due date instead.
Completed date is automatically updated on the completed task but not on the new version of the repeating task. So if i dont manage to do a repeating task but change the due date, i don't know when i last atually did it.

Display tasks which were completed within the X last days only
It would be good for the mind and for the morale, for a given view or filter, to keep track of the completed tasks
But this should not be leading to cluttered lists.
One possibility would be to display, in addition to the "active" tasks, only those completed tasks (with a nice strikethrough, good for the morale) which were completed during the last day, couple of days or whatever, according to your settings/parameters.

Move the tags with check marks to the top of the list
When they are instead alphabetized like right now, it is a cumbersome, if you have to remove a tag in the bottom from a lot of database records.

Sort case insensitive, e.g. the views
Like now okay sensitive, makes some users not find their stuff or wonder if they spelled it a capitalized or not.

Customize widgets that show on Widgets tab in drawer
Please allow us to show/hide the various widgets on the Widgets tab in the drawer. Currently there are nine different sizes available and I would like to only show a few of them instead of all of them when I want to add a widget.

Calendar integration should send completed task to date of completion, not start date.
When a task is finally completed, if at that point I mark it complete and send it to my calendar, the date in the calendar that is targeted should be the completion date, not the start date. Currently the start date is targeted.

Multiple sync tries before failure
Android phones battery does not last long if we enable data/ WiFi on the phones continuously, hence it becomes essential that either we manually enable/disable data/WiFi or use apps that do it automatically. Certain apps enable data/WiFi when apps like UTL try to sync.
But these app need a couple of seconds before the data/WiFi is enabled but by then UTL cancels sync as connection to internet is not available.
Hence there should be a retries feature where in it tries say 3 times immediately before giving up sync.

From my reading so far (not yet actual use), Ultimate To-Do List appears to be THE app for (sub-)tasks on Android.
I consider the pda to be a data referencing tool, not a data entry tool. (Others feel differently, but I don't believe they are the majority.)
What I'm having REAL difficulty with is, is what to use on my PC to access the same (gtask) data. A topic with 'popular' or merely a list of what others use on that side would be useful.

Add a day by day view with next and previous button
Add a day by day view to view today task, and then when sliding from right to left (or using next button) , view next day and so on.

Enable Notebook pages/notes to appear in My View
Currently, My View only appears to let you make filtered views for tasks. I frequently use the Toodledo Notebook functionality.
I would like to have specific Notebooks appears in the My View pages according to various usual sort criteria e.g. pages that match context, folder, page title, keywords (e.g. hashtags in the notebook).

Icon Status Indicator on any task.
ability to tap on the square of a task where you would normally tap to commit a completed task and change the icon based on the status of the task.
None, started, planning, hold, complete, etc... Same status that is currently in your program except it would be more visual and you can change it on the task itself.
