What is a tag?

A tag is a keyword or phrase that you can use to help describe the task. Common uses include:

  • Keeping track of the state or progress.
    • Examples: “Step 1”, “Waiting for response”
  • Keeping track of the next step.
    • Examples: “Return call”, “Deliver item”
  • Classifying the task.
    • Examples: “Meeting”, “Shopping”
  • Your own organization scheme.

Unlike folders, contexts, and goals, a task can have more than one tag.
