allow repeatable tasks to be skipped
I have a chores list. The items are repeated at various intervals but they are all repeated. Some of these are marked as optional. Some days I know I wont be able to do all of the chores. I can't delete it b/c I want it to show up the next time. I can't check it off as done b/c that would give incorrect statistics w/n the various reports on toodledo website. So, I'd like a "skip this instance" action. It would not mark it done but would hide it from view or maybe delete that instance only w/o affecting…

Implement Astrid-style continuous reminders
An option to allow a task to sound its reminder continuously until dismissed/snoozed, like Astrid did, would be very useful.
I've thought about setting the reminder sound to the one on my phone that loops continuously, or setting a very short 'nagging' time, but this would apply to all tasks. A per-task setting would be most useful as I spend a lot of time driving, so I don't want to be constantly having to dismiss or snooze tasks.

Add task 'repeat' attribute as a filter criteria for views
I'd like to be able to have a view showing all due repeating tasks that were not complete so they didn't roll over and become overdue. Without this filter it's not currently possible. I'm sure there are many other uses of having this available as a filter option too.

Quickly add a task from the notification bar
Many to-do list managers allow quickly adding a task without first opening the program.
Most of the time, this is done with a one-click option from the notification bar. Tools that include this great feature are 2Do, any.do, ...
Could you please provide such an option in UTL?

Colour today and future dates in My views
In my views currently I have such a list:
Today is 04/10/2013
Title of the task - Note - Due Date
Alexander - Task 1 - 02/10/2013 (text colour is red)
Alexander - Task 2 - 04/10/2013 (text colour is white)
Alexander - Task 3 - 10/10/2013 (text colour is white)It could be easire to understand if the Date Due colour for today was yellow or green (different from the one that are already passed and from those that haven't come yet).
It would be even better if I could put my own colours for today, 3 day before…1 vote -
Insert a separator after sort by in the sort order in the My views
Having lots of tasks with the same name (I use people as Tasks) - that's how I track if I've done all my work with one of them. When I have all of them in the view it would be nice to have them all separated one from each other.
Example:
Andrey - fix the notebook - 04/10/2013
Andrey - check website - 06/10/2013
Andrey - write the data to the flashdrive -10/10/2013
Separator (as empty line that makes it easier to see when tasks from Andrey are finished and when the tasks from Boris have started)
Boris - get…0 votes -
Add option to repeating tasks due date to avoid weekends, holidays, i.e. workdays
if due date is on a weekend, I must submit my status report on the last workday before then.

Filter on tasks that do not contain certain text in the title
Allow user to filter based on text within the Title.
Example F:JB:Submit third quarter report
P:Call accounting about duplicate invoice being submitted
Being able to filter out tasks that have either "P:" or "F:" removes them from my list so I know what is Pending and who I need to follow up with on a delegated task.5 votes -

I see what you are referring to now. Like the outline feature, we will not able to implement this until Toodledo implements an interface allowing access for apps such as ours.

Better Desktop Integration
There are times when it is good to edit tasks from the desktop (e.g., when doing a weekly plan - easier on a desktop). One can use Toodledo and sync the changes back to UTD, except for UTD-specific fields like "Display tasks on calendar" (which are very useful). Can we have some way (e.g., using the tag field in tasks) whereby such fields are passed in to Toodledo and then to UTD after a sync?

Ability to set start date after due date
I'd like to always keep the due date to show the actual (given) deadline. Sometimes I'm already late for it and I know it but still can't complete the task today. Therefore I also don't want to see the task today in my list so I'd like to set the start date to the date I'm going to do the task. In Toodledo it is possible to set the start date to be later so that it's not showing in my list. Why not in this app?

Have diary views
Introduce views which classify all tasks into those overdue, those due today, those due tomorrow, those due beyond that but within a week and those with no due date. Each to have a separate heading. Business tasks has done it really well.

Colour code tasks from different accounts
Simply; When adding an account assign a colour code that will accompany each task. This could be a background colour, text colour, or even an icon that is displayed.
This would make identifying the source of tasks a snap!

Automatically remove star when a to be repeated task is checked off
Automatically remove star when a to be repeated task is checked off.
I use the "star" to label tasks I actually want to do that day. These are a mixture of high and low priority tasks and some tasks due at a later point in time that fit in nicely that day. A filter-view on "starred" shows me my workload that day.
When checking off a task with a repetition interval, the rescheduled task should not show up in the starred list any more. Therefore, the rescheduled task should not have a star any more.
