Allow back button to exit the app
Going from one screen to another is disconcerting when attempting to use the back button. If you press the home button in the app, I think it should kill all screens except the home screen. Instead, you can press back and it will take you through the entire history.
This just makes it a pain to quit out of the app. Before you say press the home button, quite often I launch it from another app, and I want to go back there.
25 votesVersion 3, which has just been released, adjusts the back button behavior to be consistent with other Android apps. Pressing back from a main screen, such as a task or note list, will exit the app.

Enter a task via voice entry that will automatically parse the priority, due date, context, and folder.
It would be very useful if I could hit a single button to create task with voice entry (I already voted for the existing feature suggestion) and then say:
"Take the garbage out at home on Wednesday high priority"
"Send out the report at work folder sales tomorrow"To support an easier text entry, support text input like this:
"Take the garbage out @home Wednesday %high"
"Send out the report @work #sales tomorrow"28 votes -
Being able to customize widget size, to fit list in, and/or to fit up to 4 widgets in larger phones home screen
CUSTOMIZABLE WIDGET SIZE: I'd like to be able to change the size of the widget, maybe with a long press, ideally being able to just drag the edge of the widget to make it longer in order to see the entire list if possible. Or also an option like "re-size widget to fit list". This way you can see your customized view, for example your "next action for the day" filtered view, in one quick glance in your home screen. If you have arrows to re-size you can also make 4 different widgets fit in a phone that has a…

Provide an option to display more than 20 tags
Add an option to the app to configure how many recently used tags it keeps track of. Some users will have a small number of tags and want a small list, and other users need more than 20.
16 votesVersion 3, which has just been released, allows up to 30 recently used tags to be displayed.

Support location reminders that use cellular location only
While accuracy would be reduced, there would be less drain on the battery. Currently, the GPS can be turned off in the system settings but this would be more convenient.
It would also get rid of the issue on some devices in which the GPS stays on even when all location alarms are canceled.568 votesThis has been implemented in version 1.9 of the smartphone edition, and will be available for the tablet edition in a few days.

Scrollable widget
Some devices support scrollable widgets and some do not. Any implementation will need to support non-scrollable widgets as well.
56 votesThe scrollable widget feature for Ultimate To-Do List is now available for both the smartphone and tablet editions running Android 3 and up.
We do understand that Android 2 devices can have scrollable widgets if they use alternate home screen software. We are marking the scrollable widget feature as complete. However, if you have an Android 2 device and are still interested in this, feel free to open or vote for a new feature request and we will prioritize it based on the votes we get.
