Two way sync for Google Calendar (or a third party workaround)
Posted on Google Groups:
Hi everyone - I bought Ultimate To Do List a few weeks ago and love it. I tend to geek out with this stuff and this is the most complete app I have found for this purpose.
I am syncing with Google, and Ultimate does that well with Tasks, and the one way sync with Google Calendar isn't horrible - but two way sync sure would be nice. Ultimate to do list forms a near perfect "database" for pending tasks, but the graphical planning you could do with Google Calendar - provided it could be made to sync back with Calendar, would make it truly worthy of the name "Ultimate".
I am guessing that there must be some technical issue that makes this difficult - the developers have certainly had this request before, so I am wondering if there is some kind of workaround? It seems that no one really integrates Tasks and Calendar with the exception of an app called "Day by Day". Does anyone know if there is a way to use that, or some other app or integration tool like Zapier of IFTTT to make the two-way sync work. I tested it and if you change a start date and duration in Google Calendar it doesn't make its way back to Ultimate even when you re-sync.
I would certainly pay if the developers make an addon for this, but in the mean time does anyone have any thoughts about how to make the two-way sync work some other way?

BTW - if you're working on this note that the "goals" function of Google Calendar is equivalent to "repeated tasks". Since Google plans to use AI in their calendar integrating ultimate to do list with it would be extremely cool.
