Tablet Version runs GREAT under BlueStacks on a Windows 7 PC, Syncs GREAT
Just wanted to let folks know that the tablet version of UTL is awesome running under BlueStacks on a Windows 7 PC. Takes a bit of computing horsepower and RAM to do so (my PC is 2.4 Ghz Intel P8600, 4 Gb RAM). UTL under BS syncs perfectly through Toodledo with my phone app. BS gets a "phone" identity through an XDA hack for the Google Play Market and you can't download the tablet app to your "phone" (get "incompatible" warning). But the Amazon AppStore app that comes pre-installed with BS doesn't care and lets you download and install the tablet free-trial and the unlock key.
Advantages of tablet on PC. See full View tree at same time as tasks in any view. Switch to any view just by clicking on it (no going thru Home screen, hitting BACK key, etc). Tasks run on for many words instead of being cut off after a few words. App running under BS is actually speedier and more responsive than the phone app running on my Galaxy Nexus. AND, you get the same view of your tasks on both your phone and your PC. Try it. I think you'll love it after you learn the ins and outs of using BlueStacks.

I love the idea of running the tablet version on windows. Better yet...why not create a desktop version of UTL? Syncing with Toodledo doesn't give me the same great functionality I have with UTL!

Thank you for this, I had never heard of BlueStacks before that. Very interesting.
I wonder though ... do you get to the same or near place by VNC'ing your Android?
Useful? Different?
