Whoops, forget to mention 2 things...

What I wrote below may just be the detailed version of what (I believe) K. Su was asking for back in December 2012.

And lastly...PROPS!! You guys ROCK. Seriously. I've been using Toodledo for 2 or 3 years now and I'd be absolutely lost without it. (Before that for about 12 years I used a variety of different task organization tools from pen & paper, to Outlook Tasks, to many other common solutions. Toodledo has been hands-down the best for me). That said, as long as I've been using Toodledo I've been looking for the best solution for a convenient, powerful, and highly-customizable = highly effective mobile app. DOZENS of other Android apps I tried and kicked to the curb with varying degrees of dysfunction and/or disappointment. Pretty sad, really. Closest thing I found before now was DGT GTD, but it had occasional unreliability in syncing, and customization was mediocre at best.

And THEN (about 2 weeks ago) I finally found Ultimate To-Do List. Oh my goodness...what a Godsend. SOOO customizable. SOOO flexible. And (so far) it seems to sync flawlessly and reliably with my online Toodledo account. I LOVE YOU GUYS!! SERIOUSLY!! I was so thrilled I didn't even wait long to GLADLY pay the $5 for the full app.

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!

The quick task widget (titled "New Task" in the widget list, to help some others of you avoid spending waaaay too long looking for it, and thinking it's not there, and getting very frustrated because info here tells us there should be a quick task widget somewhere)...

...only saves 1 tap versus just tapping on the app itself. It takes 1 tap on the widget to get to the new, blank task, it takes 2 taps normally (1 tap to open the app, 1 tap to open a new task). Not impressive, especially when you try it and realize that after entering your new task title and tapping "save", you don't end up back where you were before you started this process, you end up in the app itself, and you have to hit another button (Android's Home button or whatever) to get out of the app so you're back where you started at the launcher screen.

Now, if you want to make the "quick task" widget as quick and useful as possible, may I suggest/request that after you've entered a new task through the "quick task" ("New Task") widget and you tap "save", you have it save and automagically exit right out of the app. Think about the scenario...I'm working on ______ (fill in the blank), something pops into my head that I MUST not forget to do later, and it's going to distract the heck out of me until I either do it or record it somewhere, so with as little interruption and delay as possible to my present task, I need to get the task idea recorded and get right back to what I was doing.

    Thus:
1 tap on the "quick task" widget to get me to the task title field
Keyboard entry of the task title
1 tap on the "save" button to save the task and exit out of the app all together

And then I'm back to being productive on my previous task or project as fast as possible.

Isn't that the whole point of a "quick task" widget? Hardly worth burning up space on our launcher screens with that extra widget to save a single tap.

    What do you say!?
Thanks for listening. Consider it, hey?
