GPS doesn't turn off
After enabling locations my phone keeps GPS on and this uses a lot of extra battery.
Maybe it's a bug. If not maybe the feature could be changed to only use GPS locations when the Cell ID location reports that the phone is near the set location.
Tested on a HTC Sensation android phone.3 votesThis is covered by the following new feature request:

I like your idea of turning on the GPS only if the cellular location fix is close to a location. We will consider this when we implement this enhancement.

Error retrieving information fro server [rpc] when starting free download in app store
I can't pay if I can't get started!
1 voteThis sounds like an issue with the Android Market itself. I would recommend checking your internet connection and/or rebooting your device and downloading again. You could also try checking Google’s help page to see if it provides useful information. Here’s a link:

When finishing a task that is assigned to some "Goal", chain link is not added for that goal.
Maybe adding also a "full support" - show chains for goals in application - would be also great. I mean that chains on this page: http://www.toodledo.com/organize/goals.php (for Pro accounts)
But fixing that bug with not adding chain links would be enough.
3 votesThis issue appears to be on Toodledo’s side. The interface Toodledo provides to apps such as ours does not provide a way to directly update the goal chain. If you are not seeing a new link in the chain after completing a task within UTL, then Toodledo’s server did not update its internal records after the synchronization.
Currently, the only workaround we are aware of is to make sure to mark the task as complete from Toodledo’s web site.
Regarding support for viewing a goal chain within UTL, feel free to submit this in the “New Feature Suggestions” area.

Put 'Fields/Functions Used' in Settings. This is where it belongs.
1 voteThe fields/functions options currently do appear in the settings area. They also appear when an account is first set up.

Application Icons
There should be no reason for the application to have 2 different Icons after you buy the licensed version. The licensed version should replace the trial version. Please change your Installation on the purchased version to remove one of the Icons so we have only one icon to look at for this application.

i would like to see the tasks arranged by due date and time not just date as it is now
Now the tasks are arranged only by date. why not arrange it first by date and then by tim within the date ?
1 voteThe app currently does this. When sorting by due date, the due time is also taken into account, so that tasks due later in the day are lower on the list.

Ability to set location reminder by Meter not Kilometer
In location tracking menu, now set it by mile or Kilometer.
it's too long. I have a lot of place I've set location reminder near my home within 1 Kilometer.
As a result, whenever I'm home, it always remind me....
So make it set by meter.
3 votesI think is a misunderstanding about the settings available. In the location tracking options, the “Distance Units” setting refers only to how distances are displayed in the app. There is another setting called “Reminder Radius” which allows you to adjust when a location reminder occurs. This is in meters.

Startup screen setting not working properly
For some reason, the option that allows you to select the startup screen doesn't seem to work properly. I don't know if it's a "feature" or a bug, but everytime i start the app, the screen only displays the last view displayed on exit. The startup screen setting will only be taken into account when I reboot my device.
It would be nice to have a startup screen that really "reset" the view to the desired screen everytime you start the app.
I'm running android 2.3.4 and the last version of Ultimate To-do list
1 voteThis is due a common misunderstanding about how Android handles running apps. When you return to your home screen or switch to another app, Android will keep our app in memory if it has enough system resources to do so. If you then return to the app, the last screen viewed as displayed because the app never actually exited.
Android will shut down the app if it needs to free up resources for another running app. If this occurs, then the startup screen will display when you return to the app.
If you are interested, feel free to submit a new feature request to have the startup screen brought to the front anytime the app is brought to the foreground (even if it is still running). Or, another option would be an on-screen button or command that takes the user directly to the startup screen.

Since you are seeing the icon at the bottom of the screen, I believe the problem is with the settings on your tablet. First, I would recommend checking the “Sound” settings within your tablet’s system settings area. Make sure your notification volume and your alarm volume are both high enough for you to hear the sound.
You may also want to go to the settings area within the app and check the reminder settings. Adjusting the sound that plays with each reminder may also help.

This option is currently available under the display options (bottom-right button when viewing a task list). This allows you to show or hide subtasks, or display subtasks at the same level as the parents.

Provide the ability to filter on the start time so that tasks that don't start until later in the day are hidden
I have a number of tasks that can only be performed in the evenings. It would be great if there was a filter on the start time so that these types of tasks are not visible until they can actually be done

Notes - alpha sort is silly - most recently updated at the top would be better
