Include a Target Date or Review Date that's separate from Due date
I'd like to reserve "Due Date" for hard deadlines where they exist for a task. But for many tasks, I want to review it or action it well before the Due date so I'm safe. At the moment, I have to bring the due date forward to do this, but now I have no idea what the hard deadline was?!!
If there was a "Target" date or a "Review" date then I could sort, filter and manage that and still see when the task is actually due.
This also seems more intuitive to me than having to keep shifting back an arbitrary "Due" date.

4jump, that's fine for viewing, but you can only set reminders on Due date (and then, only within 7 days).

I need this as well. I am given an assignment with start and end dates. I would like a planned date so I can keep jobs I plan on doing the same day grouped together.

I use the start date and view tasks based on start date.
