    Also be sure to include all settable fields such as reminder lead time, nagging, repeat, folder, context, etc.

    Another vote for customizable defaults -- not just the date and time, but also for the reminders, make it available for any of the settings. I *always* want to have 1 min reminder, I always want nagging, etc... so, basically a template for all selectable... this would stream-line item entry to just the text for the task.
