New task default for reminder date and time fields
Consider allowing the user to choose a value that is relative to the due date (for example, 1 day before).
This would include both the reminder date (relative to due date), and reminder time.

+1 Especially to brian murrell's comment from 2012 below.
I just switched from DGT GTD and I can't believe this isn't a feature! -

It would be useful to have reminder by default in the task template (value computed from an offset based on due date) -

This would improve repeating tasks by eliminating the need to reset the reminder each time it repeats.

Another vote for customizable defaults -- not just the date and time, but also for the reminders, make it available for any of the settings. I *always* want to have 1 min reminder, I always want nagging, etc... so, basically a template for all selectable... this would stream-line item entry to just the text for the task.

I would really love to have this feature! Every time I add a new task I have to manually enter the reminder and sometimes I forget to do it, very frustrating!

Hope the offset for the Reminder can be different and independent of the offset for the Start date. Outlook might provide an instructive example. Once an offset is chosen between Start date and Due date, if you move the Start date, the Due date moves accordingly. The Due date can be changed without moving the Start date from what is was originally set to. Hope consideration will be given to what happens if one syncs through ToodleDo to Outlook as I do.
Would also be great if you change offsets that task remembers changed values so if you clone it as a template and you've chosen 1 week between Start and Due dates and a reminder 48 hours before the Due date that if you clone the task, the clone inherits the progenitor's settings, etc.
