    Yes, yes, yes!
    Currently, for fast new task entry, I have new tasks default to today's date, so that it remains visible in my hotlist. However, if I don't "review" and refile that task, it becomes overdue and tends to gum up the ordering of tasks that are actually due or overdue.
    If I could have new tasks starred by default, then I don't have to set a due date (which is more representative of the situation), and it will still appear in my hotlist, but below those tasks on which I really, really need to act.
