  2. Better Desktop Integration

There are times when it is good to edit tasks from the desktop (e.g., when doing a weekly plan - easier on a desktop). One can use Toodledo and sync the changes back to UTD, except for UTD-specific fields like "Display tasks on calendar" (which are very useful). Can we have some way (e.g., using the tag field in tasks) whereby such fields are passed in to Toodledo and then to UTD after a sync?

  4. Ability to set start date after due date

I'd like to always keep the due date to show the actual (given) deadline. Sometimes I'm already late for it and I know it but still can't complete the task today. Therefore I also don't want to see the task today in my list so I'd like to set the start date to the date I'm going to do the task. In Toodledo it is possible to set the start date to be later so that it's not showing in my list. Why not in this app?

  5. Have diary views

Introduce views which classify all tasks into those overdue, those due today, those due tomorrow, those due beyond that but within a week and those with no due date. Each to have a separate heading. Business tasks has done it really well.

  6. Change the black font color into white in the pop up selection screen (when you must make a choice). It's difficult to read

Change the black font color into white in the pop up selection screen (when you must make a choice). It's difficult to read and I guess it suppose to be white anyway. The planner on itself is great! Thanks

Just to confirm, are you saying that you are seeing black text on a black background? If so, can you provide an example of what steps you need to take to reproduce the problem? Also, what specific device do you have?

Sometimes, manufacturers modify Android in a way that prevents our app from applying the theme to all of the text and backgrounds, resulting in black on black or white on white text. We then have to write a workaround for that specific device.

As a quick fix, changing the app’s theme may clear up the problem. You can find the theme in the settings area.

  7. Colour code tasks from different accounts

Simply; When adding an account assign a colour code that will accompany each task. This could be a background colour, text colour, or even an icon that is displayed.

This would make identifying the source of tasks a snap!

  10. Automatically remove star when a to be repeated task is checked off

Automatically remove star when a to be repeated task is checked off.

I use the "star" to label tasks I actually want to do that day. These are a mixture of high and low priority tasks and some tasks due at a later point in time that fit in nicely that day. A filter-view on "starred" shows me my workload that day.

When checking off a task with a repetition interval, the rescheduled task should not show up in the starred list any more. Therefore, the rescheduled task should not have a star any more.

  11. Let a task repeat more than once a day

An option to let a task be repeated more than once a day.

For example if you need a pill reminder every 3 hour, you could set the task to repeted every 3rd hour.

  13. Ability to let sub-tasks inherit attributes from parent

I miss the ability to let sub-tasks inherit attributes from the parent task. Especcially the Start and Duedate fields, + the repeat pattern. This is possible in Toodledo, but i cannot find a way to do it in UTL.
Currently it is often to much of a hassle to add sub-tasks.

There is a known bug in the Galaxy S4 in which Samsung’s software (which implements the cut, copy, and paste buttons) does not obey the command from our app to apply a change in theme. The issue occurs when you change the theme from dark to light. If you keep the app in the dark theme, the problem does not occur.

Even though the bug is on Samsung’s side, we will be attempting a fix for the next major release.

  16. Use and sync with ToodleDo's own Saved Searches

It's great that UTL allows me to build my own "Views", but I've already created what I want as Saved Searches on the ToodleDo desktop / web. I use a number of different Android devices regularly (SGS3, Nexus 7, Asus Transformer), and some others periodically (another phone, TV stick), and it would be great to keep them all in sync in terms of the views on all of them as well as the tasks.

I know that UTL has a backup and restore function, but it doesn't have an option to share that backup with Dropbox, gMail or whatever, so…

  17. Increase size of the "Nagging" icon.

Can you increase the size of the icon that's used to select "Nagging"? The icon's surface area is so small that it often doesn't respond to touches on my phone's screen.

  18. Swipe when in Folders, Contexts, etc.

When I view my Folders, Contexts, etc it would be useful to be able swipe left/right to go to tasks in next/previous Folder, Context, etc. Currently I have to go back to main list of Folders or Contexts and select the next one to view its tasks - 2 steps instead of one swipe.

  20. When an alarm goes off, display the name of the task! Instead of a blank screen.

And, the alarm should continue to sound for a long time, perhaps a minute, unless dismissed or snoozed. In other words, like an actual alarm! If the alarm is not dismissed or snoozed, it should automatically sound again in x minutes (configurable).

I assume this request is to allow the task name to pop up on the screen – regardless of what app the user is in – in addition to being placed in the notification bar.

Note that the app already has an option to sound the alarm again if it is not dismissed or snoozed. When creating or editing a task, select an alarm time and then choose the “nagging” option.
