  1. Extra line for the title when viewing task lists

This would prevent the title from being cut-off in the list of tasks.

  3. Home screen shortcut to create new task with predetermined template settings.

Allow the creation of templates with predetermined settings such as folder, due date (+3 days, +1 week, etc...), tags, category, etc... activated by homescreen shortcuts.

Creation of a new task should be super-quick so that it becomes second-nature to create tasks.

  4. Support super advanced repeating patterns

    Examples:
the 2nd tuesday of each May
every 2 months on the 1st Sunday
every 6 months on the 4th Saturday
the last day of every month

These are not supported by Toodledo, so they will not sync if implemented.

Example: folder - Community Service; sub-folders - Red Cross Volunteer, CERT trainer, etc.

  8. Notifications disappear after a reboot

Reminder are lost after a reboot. After a reboot the application should check all overdue tasks with reminders and give reminder notification. Also same logic should be implemented in the application to do this periodically (lets say every 15 min) to ensure all the reminders are up in the notification area. So unless the user complete the task, the reminder should never disappear. I already lost very important reminders after reboot.

In my view this is extremely important it should be part of the core design.

  9. Global settings for filter, sort, and display

These global settings could be overwrittne by each view.

We could have filter, sort, and display options for each home page level (folders, contexts, etc). These could be applied to all views within and then overwritten as desired.

  10. Have a way to export and import View settings between Devices. Have a way to CLONE Views.

If you get a new device, you have to recreate all your view settings on the new device by hand. What a drag! There should be a way to export the View settings on one device and reimport them on another device. Also, many of my views have the same settings. It's a pain to make a new view that's a variant of an existing view and re-enter all the settings. There ought to be a way to clone views just as there is to clone tasks!

  11. Show goals hierarchically

Show goals as a three-level collapsible hierarchy, by nesting long-term goals within their lifelong parent goal, and short-tem goals wthin their long-term parent goal.

  12. "Has Subtasks" Filter Criteria

The Toodledo web site has a task filter option for "Has Subtasks" that can be set to Yes/No. This is helpful to filter out parent tasks that are usually unactionable summary or group names.

  13. Make it possible to edit the completion date of a task.

This would be useful when a task is marked as complete after the date it was actually completed.

  14. Triage Goals

In Goals view, although I have assigned several "contributes to" relationships, the main Goals view lists them all on the same line (no indendation, no color codes).

Similarly, when one opens a Goal from the main list, it is only possible to see tasks related to that Goal, and cannot see tasks assigned to "contributes to" goals that should be nested within this. You must go back out to main goals view.

Will it be possible to triage these just like tasks are? (Indents, color codes) This would connect the whole system together in terms of functionality.

  15. Allow filtering by "Is Subtask"

Toodledo allows you to search or filter using a True or False "Is Subtask" criterion. I would like to use this with UTL.

    This is useful:

    1) To filter out subtasks to that one is left only with top-level tasks, giving you a list of your GTD "projects". (This is similar to, but slightly different from, using the "Has Subtasks" filter, as in this suggestion: http://utl.uservoice.com/forums/149475-new-feature-suggestions/suggestions/2615558-has-subtasks-filter-criteria).

    2) To create lists that include next-actions for your projects (again, where a "project" is a GTD task with subtasks.

  16. add a function of " add a quick task"

add a function of " add a quick task",
that means add a task without going into the whole details when adding a task ,just show a popup that let users to input the title and then add this task into current folder.

  17. Have a GTD "Inbox"

What is required is a view for anything where the Status is not
determined. So stuff which just gets thrown in without a status is
your inbox which needs to be cleared.
