Ability to e-mail a task
Ideally, this could be combined with the mult-select feature to e-mail multiple tasks.
Also, provide an option to e-mail the task in Toodledo's format. This would allow someone to assign a task to someone else simply through e-mail.163 votes -
Ability to add custom reminder time.
Example: 32 hours before due date. Now there only an option for 1 or 2 days before due time. You can't customize the exact reminder time that you need.

Include a Target Date or Review Date that's separate from Due date
I'd like to reserve "Due Date" for hard deadlines where they exist for a task. But for many tasks, I want to review it or action it well before the Due date so I'm safe. At the moment, I have to bring the due date forward to do this, but now I have no idea what the hard deadline was?!!
If there was a "Target" date or a "Review" date then I could sort, filter and manage that and still see when the task is actually due.
This also seems more intuitive to me than having to keep shifting back…

Correct/Enhance: "How do I export or import my data to/from another app?"
It's all very well to suggest Toodledo, however, Toodledo does not support subtasks (what toodledo calls subtasks, 1 level, well ...).
Enhancing this article to be less superficial might be smart.
e.g. OPML? gtasks (has subtasks, but probably not as rich in terms of fields as toodledo?), csv?
Help the new user get from somewhere else to here. For all I know, checkvist's import/export capabilities may be useful as an intermediary step.
Anywho, in the end, this FAQ answer, as it stands, isn't particularly helpful.

Change "Recently Used Tags" view to all tags sorted by usage or alphabetically
No limits on number of tags used (they are far more useful than folders as they can be attach to several contexts). Ths would match teh way google uses tags in google mail.

Home screen shortcut to create new task with predetermined template settings.
Allow the creation of templates with predetermined settings such as folder, due date (+3 days, +1 week, etc...), tags, category, etc... activated by homescreen shortcuts.
Creation of a new task should be super-quick so that it becomes second-nature to create tasks.

This would allow the user to choose a list of available snooze times

Filter out tasks with a start time that is later in the day
This would be optional.

Multi select error
Items that are selected to edit in multi select mode deselect when they roll off the screen, and must be re selected to be edited.
6 votesWe’ve been able to confirm the problem with note selection. We will make sure this gets fixed in the next release.

Extra line for the title when viewing task lists
This would prevent the title from being cut-off in the list of tasks.

New task default for reminder date and time fields
Consider allowing the user to choose a value that is relative to the due date (for example, 1 day before).
This would include both the reminder date (relative to due date), and reminder time.101 votes -
Ultimate To-Do List and Gear S3: respond to notifications (e.g. snooze for 5 minutes) directly within the notification like Calengoo does
It would be very productive if one can respond to a reminder directly within the notification. With this option one can snooze the reminder directly on the Gear S3. Currently I got the notification on my Gear and have to snooze it on the phone; not that nice :(
The calendar app 'Calengoo' provides such a feature - it's very very cool :)

Support super advanced repeating patterns
Examples:
the 2nd tuesday of each May
every 2 months on the 1st Sunday
every 6 months on the 4th Saturday
the last day of every monthThese are not supported by Toodledo, so they will not sync if implemented.
83 votesThe latest release (3.9.6) supports a repeating pattern of the last day of the month. This will sync with Toodledo, since it was recently added to their service.

Make it easy to search tasks within a folder
When I am viewing a task folder and tap the search button, my intention, pretty much always, is to search tasks in the current folder, not to search all tasks. Not only does the app not behave this way, i.e., the simple search function that pops up searches across all tasks rather than the current folder, but it is ridiculously difficult to do a search that is restricted to one folder. Taps involved:
…Search button Scroll to expose Advanced Search button Advanced Search button Add filter rule Folder Modify Desired folder Save Save Add filter rule Title Type search text
14 votesA good way to implement this would be to add an option to the quick search feature (which is accessed by pressing the search button). This option would limit the tasks being search to the current view (which could be a single folder, a context, the hotlist, custom view, etc.).
